TASTY AND SIMPLE WAY OF COOKING PORK KALDERETA (exact ingredients below)
Kaldereta is a type of meat stew tomato-based Filipino dish. It is similar to Afritada, Mechado, and Menudo. The difference of these dishes is the meat they use, in Kaldereta they use goat meat traditionally, however, these days they prefer to cook it with beef, pork or chicken as it's more available in the market. Afritada uses chicken, Mechado uses beef while Menudo uses pork & liver. Best served with steaming hot white rice and patis with red chili and a squeeze of kalamansi.
Ingredients: 3/4kg of Pork ribs 3 cloves garlic (minced) 2 onions (sliced) 1 potato (sliced) 2 carrots (roll sliced) 2 bell pepper (green & red) 3 hotdogs 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce 1/2 tbsp black pepper (crushed) bay leaves soda 1 lemon 4 cloves of garlic (to be used for boiling) tomato sauce guisado (regular size) liver spread (1 small can)
